BabyPath
Built from January to June 2026, BabyPath is a pregnancy companion with an AI core, made for expecting parents as a household. It gives daily guidance for the current week of pregnancy and keeps a baby registry with budget tracking. As Technical Lead I built the iOS and Android app, the web app and the backend.

It also answers questions through Ask AI and writes weekly letters and recaps.

Payments run on two rails. iOS uses Apple in-app purchases, while Android and the web use Stripe, and both unlock the same BabyPath Plus subscription. The app and the website are available in six languages: English, German, Greek, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Architecture
One Expo codebase builds the iOS and Android apps, and EAS builds and submits both, so releasing to both stores doesn't need Xcode or the Play Console by hand. The web app is a separate Next.js project, because the web does things the apps don't: shared registries, the weekly digest links, and Stripe Checkout for web subscribers. Android subscribers pay inside the app through Stripe's payment sheet.
The backend is one FastAPI API plus a set of worker services on Railway, all deployed from the same repository with their own configuration: email, push notifications, and a content pipeline that generates, checks and enriches content with Gemini. The API doesn't call the workers. It writes a job row to PostgreSQL and the workers poll for it, so there's no queue to run, a slow AI generation never holds up a request, and each worker can be scaled or restarted on its own.
The API itself calls Gemini for Ask AI and the letters, verifies Apple purchases with the App Store Server API and receives Stripe and Apple webhooks. Sign-in goes through the API to Supabase Auth, email goes out through Resend, and images are served from Bunny's CDN.
